Given the high degree of internationalization of these Portuguese higher education institutions, SiPN applicants will find plenty of offerings in these fields in English (and obviously in Portuguese if they have enough language proficiency) to cover their major or general education-type requirements.
And why not complementing regular classes with an internship for academic credit? There are countless benefits to making this decision. Students can opt to intern full-time, or part-time, the latter allowing them to take other 2/3 courses in addition to the internship.
Where to start?
First, we encourage our students to learn more about each of the 4 universities involved in this semester program and their academic offerings, students will have to choose which of the four options will be their Portuguese host institution for the given semester. In some exceptional cases, students who want to take a course at a second university, are allowed to do so.
Regardless of our student´s choice in terms of where they want to develop their semester studies in Lisbon, all that a SiPN experience and guidance entails is guaranteed.
In terms of cost, students, parents, and partner universities in the US will find in this program what it is most likely to be the program with the best value for your money in western Europe.
