Tuition and Fees

FLAD is a private Portuguese non-profit foundation. This means that SiPN was created with a true non-profit spirit in mind, which is why our program fees are so much lower than competing programs in Western Europe.

Besides our strategic grant partnerships with the U.S. Fulbright Program and other non-profits that promote international exchange, FLAD is committed to using any positive revenues generated from this program by adding more merit-based student scholarships. This means that as our program grows in terms of recruitment, more and more scholarships will become available to our applicants. In the past 4 years, FLAD distributed more than $60,000 in partial scholarships.

Below you can find SiPN´s program standard prices. Please consult with your school to understand how billing should be handled. Read more in the “Billing Information” section.

Summer 2023: we will deduct from your final invoice $1000 per session.

Semesters – Fall 23: we will deduct from your final invoice $ 2750

This fee covers services from Student Affairs such as comprehensive medical, accident, and liability insurance, airport pickup and orientation week activities, 24-hour emergency staff support, a local cell phone, the monthly transport pass, and various social and cultural events, as well as support and counseling.

Students that wish to opt-out of SiPN’s Housing must communicate to the program by email during their application process and before their acceptance into the program.

*Student Travel and Health Insurance

ALL SiPN students are covered by AON Travel and Health Insurance policy that is tailor-made for students studying abroad. It provides coverage for everything from a stolen laptop, to lost luggage, to dental, emergency, and routine medical coverage.

Rebates

We want our students to experience SiPN and Portugal as much as possible so we have created an incentive for students who would like to combine more than one SiPN session.  (e.g. a semester plus a summer program).

Sign up for more than one SiPN edition and you will be entitled to an automatic reduction of the Comprehensive Tuition Fee. If the student’s decision to stay for another session is communicated during their stay, then it will be reflected on the invoice that regards the subsequent SiPN edition, in the following amounts:

Rebates’ combination USD
One semester, fall or spring, plus one summer course $250
One semester, fall or spring, plus two summer courses $400
Two semesters  $1000
